It is 450 B.C when Jess is attacked by tribesmen, but is rescued by Esau, a hunter, who takes Jess back to his tribe's travelling camp. Jess soon finds himself caught in the middle of a jealous family feud between Esau and his brother Jacob.

In the year 1955, in the village of Kildogan in Southern Ireland, Jess meets Jonty and Mo, a brother and sister in desperate need of good fortune. Jess befriends the two siblings and decides to help their family regain a financial foothold.

It is 1961, and Jess is a new student at a local high school in the American South. Conflict ensues when he befriends a group of teenagers bent on intimidating Lucy, a young woman denied enrollment in the school due to the color of her skin.

In Galilee, Jess works as a private teacher, mentoring Aviner's daughter, Elkie. Jess soon finds himself entangled in a family feud when Aviner's son, Daniel, feeling that he is being ignored by his father, proceeds to open his own business.

It is 14th century England amid the Black Plague when Jess unexpectedly saves Morgan, a performer at a local market, who Jess later discovers is a conman that sells fake potions to "cure" the plague.

During the French Revolution, while working as a servant in the Chateau of Pierre Mandin in 1792, Jess serves Pierre's buffoonish son Phillipe. As threats increase, Phillipe is disguised as a servant, and experiences life from a new perspective.

It is 1850. Jess befriends 16-year-old Samuel, who is expected to take over his deceased father's job as the village baker. Samuel dreams of travelling the world and "being somebody." At the spur of the moment, Samuel decides to run away.
25 -God on Our Side 26 min
Jess finds himself in an ancient time with the Mali and Dujane who have been at war for generations. Farin has been appointed to negotiate peace and the tribes agree to surrender the thing most valuable to them, but reconciliation remains elusive.
26 -The Play's the Thing 26 min
A theater company is visiting the small town of Woolaroo in 1920's Australia. Upon arrival, they find Jess stowed away in their coach, who explains his actions by mentioning that he wants to become an actor. The group thus recruits Jess.
