Dawn French and Alfred Molina play a happily married couple in this domestic comedy set in real-time. Each episode begins with one of the couple already at home and we watch what happens when the other arrives to join them. Successfully married for over 20 years, Roger and Val are beautifully in tune with each other. They rely on each other for distraction from any woes, and - because they have no children - they are, it has to be said, somewhat lazy. But little do they know, their marriage is about to take a startling turn from its habitual and happy course.
