Actor and comedian Alexander Armstrong heads to Sri Lanka to learn more about the island. Sri Lanka has a tumultuous past – civil wars, natural disasters and the economic crisis of 2022 that saw 700,000 people storm the President's home. As the country reopens to tourists, Alexander speeds across the Indian Ocean to learn more about the ‘land of serendipity’. Among his many adventures across the island nation, he witnesses an exorcism ritual, tries his hand (and feet!) at the ancient martial art of Angampora, is given an oil bath thanks to an Ayurvedic doctor and, resplendent in loincloth, attempts to balance while catching fish with Sri Lanka’s iconic stilt fishermen.
