1 - Ominious Warning 51 min

On October 17, 1989, Sherra Cox leaves work to unpack her new apartment. Shortly before 5:00 pm, the building begins to shake as San Francisco is slammed by a 7.1 earthquake. The closet door snaps from its hinges and pins her to the floor.

2 - Fateful Journey 50 min

A Metro link passenger train collides head on with a Burlington Northern freight line. The impact pushes the commuter train 334 feet backwards down the track.

On March 30, 1998, Paul Vevesco and Larry Knapp arrive at a construction site in Margot Florida to lay pipe. At exactly 9:30, the workers freeze as they hear an ominous rumbling. Soon the north wall of the trench collapses around them.

In 2001, hundreds of people pour into the Lonz Winery on Middle Bass Island in Ohio for a Fourth of July celebration when suddenly, the terrace gives way beneath them. One hundred people plummet 20 feet into the winery’s cellar.

Two high-school buddies are driving home on icy roads when their car slides and flips three times and lands in an icy river. One friend gets out of the car and flags down other motorists to help his buddy who is unconscious trapped underwater.

On a summer day in 1999, a serious tornado warning is issued for Oklahoma City which is known as "Tornado Alley." The residents receive so many storm warnings that they are often ignored.

8 - Thin Ice 50 min

A Sunday afternoon's playtime turns deadly for two young brothers lured into a reckless dare. Rescuers probe the depths of a frozen pond, struggling to bring the boys back from the brink of death.

9 - Heroes on the Potomac 50 min

Follows the rescue of crew and passengers from the Air Florida plane that crashed into the Potomac River in Washington, DC.

10 - Trapped 50 min

The Sunshine Mine in Idaho became one of the worst mining disasters of the 20th Century. The very dry mine caught fire one morning and began circulating deadly smoke and carbon monoxide gas through the tunnels where almost 200 men were working.

Follows the rescue of citizens trapped by a flood in Texas.

On February 28, 1997, two police officers in North Hollywood, California are on routine patrol. The officers see two heavily armed men wearing ski masks and body armor entering a bank. The officers call for backup because they are outgunned.
