The Triumph Of Sherlock Holmes (1935)

Holmes comes out of retirement when a country gentleman is murdered by an American gang. As his story is told in flashbacks, we learn not only that the dead man's life was shrouded in mystery, but that his death may be linked to Holmes' infamous rival, Moriarty. The Triumph of Sherlock Holmes (1935) is based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel, The Valley of Fear.
